At Dallas Medical Skin Solutions, we know that there are many injectable fillers on the market for our patients to choose from for their skin rejuvenation treatment. Board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Jay Burns, and his experienced team in Dallas, TX, would like to help you find the right filler for your skin, such as Radiesse. We can provide a comprehensive consultation to evaluate your skin for laxity, tone, and volume to help you make an informed decision on the filler right for you.
Radiesse temporarily fills the cheeks and deep nasolabial folds, and along the jaw line for 9 – 12 months and has been FDA approved to fill hands decreasing the appearance of veins on the back of the hands. It acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure as it stimulates your own collagen to grow. How? Radiesse is a voluminizing biostimulatory filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. This simply means that it allows the volume to be seen immediately, and revs the collagen production in your skin to produce faster. Call us today to get started with your first appointment.
Are You A Candidate?@headingTag>
Radiesse is a Food and Drug Administration approved medication, and is safe to use. However, there are some men and women who may have reactions to this injection. You are not a good candidate if you:
- Have a diagnosed bleeding disorder
- Have an allergy to any product within this medication
- Have an allergy to lidocaine
- Are pregnant and/or breastfeeding
During Your Injections@headingTag>
During your appointment for your Radiesse injections, a member of our aesthetics team will cleanse your face, and mark the area with a washable marker. If you are worried about pain or have experienced the injection before and felt discomfort, we can apply a local anesthetic. Keep in mind that Radiesse is already comprised of an anesthetic called Lidocaine. The injection administrator will inject the filler at the marked spots with a syringe, which may make the skin red. Your appointment should last less than an hour, and you can go back to your routine activities. There is no downtime with Radiesse.
Recovery time with Radiesse is very short (possible redness, bruising, numbness, and itching after the injection), and you should see results immediately following your appointment. Patients report to seeing smoother skin with less wrinkles, and added volume from the stimulated collagen growth from Radiesse for up to a year.
